Supporting Ethiopia’s agricultural communities through reliable water access and irrigation systems

Access to reliable water is one of the most fundamental requirements for sustainable agricultural development. In many of Ethiopia’s rural communities, small-scale irrigation infrastructure can be the difference between subsistence farming and a productive, self-sustaining agricultural system. Bergida Engineering and Construction is committed to supporting this development through the design and construction of small-scale irrigation schemes that bring real change to farming communities.

Our irrigation experience includes the completion of a Sole Small Scale Irrigation Project (SSIP) for the Najo Woreda MI Office, a project valued at ETB 29.13M, completed over 12 months and fully accepted by the client. This project reflects our ability to work in rural and semi-rural environments, manage complex earthworks and water channel construction, and deliver results that directly improve the livelihoods of local communities.

We approach irrigation projects with the same discipline and quality management that defines all of our work โ€” careful planning, rigorous material controls, qualified engineering oversight, and a strong commitment to delivering what was promised.
